Park Albatros

The campsite is immersed in the Rimigliano pine forest, at the centre of the municipalities of San Vincenzo and Piombino.
 
Inland from the campsite you find the landscape of the Colline Metallifere, with the medieval villages of Campiglia Marittima and Suvereto and the marvellous Val di Cornia Natural Parks, including the San Silvestro Archeominerario Park. Close to the campsite is the beautiful Barratti Gulf and the typical Etruscan village of Populonia.

Park Albatros offers shady pitches for people camping with their own tent, camper van or caravan; all of which have electricity points and are close to bathrooms with hot showers and baby facilities.
 
The campsites real strength, though, is the mobile home accommodation it offers, tastefully decorated with typical Italian style:
 

• Giotto (accommodates 1 to 5 people)
• Leonardo (accommodates 1 to 6 people)

 
Both models have air conditioning, heating, a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette. There is also a furnished terrace and bed linen is provided.
 
The campsite has a bazar and a supermarket that sell typical produce and camping equipment. You'll find 12 handy internet points for guests to use and a wifi zone is available in the zone called "Piazza Italia" where are present our reception, the restaurant,  the snack bar and  the supermarket.

The water park, a real gem, has a variety of lagoon style pools with soft non-slip surfaces, slides and hydromassage; there's even a large poolside bar and a lively entertainment program for young and old.

What to do

If you enjoy water sports, there are plenty on offer, including courses at the local sub-aqua and snorkelling schools.
 
Anyone who isn't easily satisfied can try a different beach every day until they find the perfect spot, choose between the many coves and beaches between San Vincenzo and Follonica.
 
On the campsite you have the opportunity to try lots of different sports, from 5-a-side football to swimming, table tennis to beach volleyball, and even mountain bike and tandem hire for excursions in the area. There are tennis courts for hire 5 km from the campsite and only 15 kms away you'll find a fun mini golf course. The Calidario Thermal spa is very close to the campsite,  just 5 km away.
 
Campsite guests can also enjoy using the Olympic sized pool and have fun with our entertainment team's Aqua-gym and Soft-gym.

To See

The small hamlets inland from the coast at San Vincenzo are well worth a visit, from the more well known such as Bolgheri and Castangetto Carducci, to the more characteristic Suvereto and Populonia.
 
From the campsite a trip to thoroughly explore the Etruscan Necropolis of Populonia, one of the best preserved in Tuscany, is an ideal day out thanks to its position close to the Promontory of Piombino.

Looming above the Baratti Gulf the site is deserving of at least a short stop, even if just to admire the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, like Elba, which is easily visible on a clear day.
