Enfola

Camping Enfola is located on the Enfola’s peninsula, between Biodola beach and Portoferraio, the main town of the Island. The town is about 6 km far from the Camping , so you can reach it by car in less than 10 minutes.

The Peninsula’s west side looks on the Viticcio’s gulf, known for the tuna fishing and for the marvellous views of Corsica , Procchio and Marciana Marina.

The Camping, lying right above the sea, has very panoramic spots for tents, caravans and campers.

It also offers to the guests bungalows with sea-view , for 2 to 5 persons. Every bungalow is fitted up with bathroom, kitchen and equipped veranda. Air conditioning, heating and bed linen are included in the price.

The main services given consist in two showers and toilets areas, provided with free hot water, dishwasher and washing machine. In the Camping site there is a minimarket and a small playground for kids.

Camping Enfola’s got a coffee bar and a restaurant just on the sea front, with the possibility of full or half board for the guests.

In the Camping there is a Diving School and buoys for the guest’s boats; there is also the possibility to attend the Nordic Walking course, with maps and equipment.

What to do

The small Enfola peninsula is perfectly located to do most of the seaside activities, like snorkelling or diving, thanks to shallow depths rich in fauna. The gulf is perfect to kayaking because of the quiet sea , thanks to the position sheltered from the wind.

Nature lovers could instead decide to do mountain bike or trekking excursions in the thick of the forest of the Elba hinterland.

It’s very interesting also to do excursions to the Archipelago’s smaller island, in particular to Pianosa and Capraia, easily reachable from Portoferraio and Marina di Campo.

In summertime this area is very rich in festivals and events, like the Wine’s party and the Sardina’s Feast, which take place exactly here in the Enfola peninsula.

To See

Because of the short distance from Portoferraio, you cannot msss the Napoleonic Museums, placed at Villa dei Mulini and at Villa di San Matino.

Very impressive is the cableway in Marciana to go to Monte Capanne, the Island’s highest mountain. In the same village is worth visiting also the Fortress Pisana, with his archeological Museum.
