Arrighi

The Arrighi campground is located on the side of the Elban coast that faces the mainland, and is 1 kilometre from Porto Azzurro.

As it is so close to the main road that runs across Elba, it is easy to arrive from Rio Marina and Capoliveri, which are less than 5 kilometres away, and Portoferraio, which is less than 15 kilometres away. The campground faces directly onto Barbarossa beach.

The pitches, which are divided by trees, are shaded and equipped with electrical current, which constitute the basic standard of the campground. Visitors can also choose different types of accommodation, such as rented one-, two- or three-room apartments, bungalows or caravans.

The basic services provided to guests are the wash room facility blocks, which were fully re-vamped in 2006 and are equipped with free hot showers, facilities for the physically challenged, washing machines and dryers.

There is also an internet point with free wi-fi connection, a TV room, a café, a restaurant-pizzeria that offers half and full board, a market and a news agent's/tobacconists.
The campground also welcomes guests with their pets.

The visitors can use Barbarossa beach, which is mostly public, but also has private establishments that rent out beach chairs, sun beds and umbrellas.

What to do

The splendid Barbarossa beach allows guests to enjoy the water and take relaxing walks along the shore.

The small bay is perfect for sailing or taking scuba diving lessons; it is also possible to rent pedal boats, boats and moorings for the boats.

Inside the campground there are five-a-side football and volleyball courts, a children's playground, a bocci ball green and a ping-pong table.

To See

Porto Azzurro is the ideal place to take an evening stroll or do some shopping along the streets of the historical centre and the magnificent square on the seafront.

In the surrounding areas of Porto Azzurro, it is well worth a visit to the seventeenth-century Sanctuary of the Madonna of Monserrato, the Etruscan Mineral Museum and the two important forts of Longone and Focardo, which one can admire along with the Medici fortresses of Portoferraio and the Pisan fortress built in Marciana, which are just as charming.

One must definitely not miss a visit to the lake of Terranera, with its green sulphur water, which one can reach by taking an enjoyable walk.

The Mineral Parks of Capoliveri and Rio Marina are just a few kilometres away, where one can pay interesting visits to mines and museums.
