Modena, Italy

The legend drew me here. The legend of engines, but also of the cuisine. The legend of warm, friendly, simple and exciting people.
Awakened by the roar of a Ferrari engine, I asked myself what it was like to drive here, at the outskirts of Modena, at the turn of the twentieth century, in a still rural context, in the hard-worked countryside bathed in sun.
I spent hours at lunch, inebriated by the table laid with the best this fortunate land has to offer: turtelein (tortellini), zampone, prosciutto and Parmigiano-Reggiano. I was entranced by the taste of Modena's authentic traditional balsamic vinegar.
I crossed the province from top to bottom seeking traces of its extensive historic assets, discovering that Modena's figurative history could set in a cathedral, modeled in ceramics, captured in photographs and even figurines. Lastly, I awaited the evening to receive confirmation that music is undoubtedly an integral part of Modena's soul.
