The campground is situated on the border between the municipalities of Florence and Impruneta, in the hills where the great Florence Charterhouse is built, and a stone's throw from the ancient Florentine town of Galluzzo.

It is therefore located very conveniently, along a side road off the via Senese which connects Florence to the junction leading to the Toll Highway (Autostrada) A1 (Florence-Impruneta), the 4-lane road that connects to Siena, or the Cassia trunk road that leads all the way to Rome, passing by the most appreciated towns of the Chianti area.

The campground covers a vast area of terraced land, with open pitches, for guests camping in RVs and tents. A common kitchen, power outlets, parking spots, an ironing area, a swimming pool and an internet point are all available to our campers.

Accommodation is also available in:

• Bungalows sleeping 2 to 5 people, with living room, refrigerator, bathroom with shower, AC, individual heating and parking spot.
• Mobile-homes sleeping 2 to 4-5 people, which include AC in the price, individual heating, a parking spot and weekly change of linen.

All campers have access to the restaurant which offers traditional Tuscan cuisine, a mini-market and two wash room facility blocks equipped with free hot showers, washing machines, dryers and wash rooms for the physically challenged.

French, English, German and Spanish are spoken at the campground reception, where valuables can be kept safe free of charge and payments can be made using debit cards and credit cards.

What to do

The campground has a swimming pool, a volleyball court and a play ground for children.

All other sports facilities, from five-a-side football to tennis, are available in the Charterhouse area, or you can take advantage of the proximity to Florence.

It is possible to hike in the area surrounding the campground, along the so-called "Renaissance Ring".

It is also possible to rent quads or horses for trips in the Chianti area.

To See

Given the location of the campground, you must not miss a visit to the majestic architecture of the Florence Charterhouse. The historical centre of the town of Impruneta is also very nearby, where you can visit the well-known Sanctuary of Santa Maria, where a miraculous effigy of the Virgin is worshipped.

The possibility of reaching the main art cities of Siena, San Gimignano and Certaldo is also particularly inviting, or taking the via Cassia to visit the medieval towns of San Casciano, Tavarnelle and Barberino Valdelsa.

Obviously one must not miss the full calendar of wine and food events of the Chianti area, based on traditional dishes and the excellent local red wine.
