Maremma Sans Souci

Half-way between Grosseto and Puntala, Castiglione della Pescaia prevails on the sea by its fortress.

The landscape is marked by a thick pinewood extended right behind the beach, facing Elba and Giglio islands.

Maremma Sans Souci is situated in the century-old pine-wood, with a private sandy-beach, representing perfectly the natural environment of Costa degli Etruschi.

At disposal of the guests are shady pitches fenced by bushes, and wooden-cottages for 4 or 5 persons. There are 5 sanitary-groups with free warm water, sanitarians for disabled, washing-machines and ironing. There is an equipped part of beach and also a free one.

There are also a restaurant, pizzeria, bazaar (newsstand), mini-market. Bike-rental, play-ground for children. For surfers there are rakes for surf boards, washing and hanging of sails, corridor to the sea, bancomat and wireless connection.

What to do

The camping guests have the use of the beach, in part free and in part equipped with beach umbrellas. All activities practiced on sea, as windsurfing and sailings are, of course possible. Also Puntala “sanctuary” for sailors is very close.

There are offers for boat excursions to the islands of the archipelago (Elba, Giglio). Bike rental is also possible. To have fun in the evening you can visit Castiglione della Pescaia and also Grosseto, a town with an interesting night-life.

To See

Besides, Castiglione della Pescaia , the old village of medieval origin, with its fortress on the top of the hill also offers a breathtaking view on the coast. Also worth visiting is Vetulonia with its Etruscan necropolis and museum and the ruins of Roselle, also of Etruscan – Roman origin.
