Lacona Pineta

Camping Lacona Pineta is located on the southern coast of Elba Island, where the village of Lacona meets the Capo Stella promontory. It is therefore situated between the two bays (Lacona and Stella, surrounded by the renowned beaches of Lacona and Laconella, on the one side, and Margidore on the other.

The grounds are located in a scenic position and immersed in a maritime pine forest. It can be reached in less than ten kilometres from Portoferraio, Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro.

There are mainly two types of accommodation available at Camping Lacona Pineta: 210 pitches and 31 bungalows, all immersed in the shade of maritime pine trees and just a few steps away from the sea.

The added value offered by the campground is its particularly tranquil climate and pleasant
location, which still provides the possibility of travelling to livelier and busier towns on the island, such as Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro, for who so wishes.

The many services provided by the campground include a café, a restaurant with the possibility of half board, a pizzeria, a mini-market and a tobacconist's; wash room facility blocks with hot water available 24/7, wash rooms for the physically challenged and parking inside the grounds; an internet point and wi-fi and LAN connections.

Pets are welcome to the campground. Guests can also use the beach, the entertainment service and the children's playground. The swimming pool has hydro-massage jets and a children's end.

What to do

The campground is approximately 50 m from the large beach of Lacona, it provides its guests with a pool with sun beds and umbrellas. There are scooter and mountain bike rentals nearby to explore the surrounding areas of Lacona, and visit other renowned beaches in the Lacona district, from Laconella beach to Margidore beach.

There are stables and tennis courts, scuba diving, sailing and surfing schools, with the possibility of renting all necessary equipment to practice water sports, all within a 1 kilometre distance from the campground. There is also an affiliated diving centre.

To See

Elba Island offers a wealth of monuments and archaeological sites: among the top sites we
recommend visiting the Napoleonic villas of San Martino and Mulini, the Medici Fortresses and
Fort Stella in Portoferraio, as well as the Pisan Fortress in Marciana.

Moving on, though still in Marciana, there is one of the most interesting archaeological museums that one can visit, along with the Etruscan Mineral Museum in Porto Azzurro and the Villa Romana delle Grotte in Portoferraio. We also recommend guided tours to the mines in Capoliveri.
